Mobile Centrex applications run on a server computer that resides at the field service enterprise server, called the Mobile Centrex Dispatcher. Mobile Centrex Dispatcher sends information and messages to dispatcher's web-based desktops and mobile workforce's web-enabled wireless devices.

Mobile Centrex Dispatcher saves information in a database, which also resides on Mobile Centrex Dispatcher. Information sent to wireless devices via wireless service carriers’ WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) gateway gets seamlessly converted into the format that can be displayed on web-enabled mobile phones and PDAs regardless of the mobile device manufacturer or wireless network provider
