and evaluate the daily work of technicians in the field. The application
can be configured through a variety of system settings associated
with business rules and workflow. MC Field Manager supports mobile
workforces of up to thirty technicians on individual work queues
and three dispatchers operating on shared work queue.
As a web-based solution, it enables real-time work assignments
to the workforce in the field who can retrieve customer information
and repair history to speed up problem diagnosis and resolution
time. It enables field service technicians to retrieve detailed
ticket labor, driving directions, customer billing information.
It also enables field workforce to send and receive instant alerts
for job status changes and updates to avoid any delays and reduce
workforce travel and down time.
The application provides a variety of customer definable standard
reason and comment codes for workforces to quickly select from and
update work order and job status information. The “Technician
Scheduler” provides a full picture of all workforce work schedule
dates and meet-times with an estimated time range, and determines
any scheduling conflicts. The application also enables dynamic rerouting
and re-scheduling as conditions change to increase field service
technicians’ utilization and speed up work order handling.
